Mauerkirchen, Austria

RoofLoc System

The RoofLoc® SCRAIL® system of the BECK Fastener Group® is regulated under the general construction technique permit no. Z-14.4-818 since August 2018 (valid only in Europe). This system allows you to install roofs and siding made of trapezoidal sheet metal pneumatically and twice as fast as with conventional sheet metal screws.

The BECK RoofLoc® SCRAIL® system is especially used for metal-to-wood connections in the roof and exterior wall area. The fastener, RoofLoc® SCRAIL®, is pneumatically driven with the FASCO Metal Roofing tool, and can be unscrewed completely for repair workThe patented thread of RoofLoc® SCRAIL® provides excellent holding power of 2.500 Newtons (560lbs) and more. The general construction approval regulates and confirms an application in static timber construction.

Humidity and corrosion protection

The UV-resistant EPDM-Washer protects the underlying wood against humidity and can be used in a temperature range from -40°C to +120°C. This is also confirmed by the leak-tightness test conducted by the VHT test institute for timber and drywall construction; see test report PB-833_5-16-Beck-170329.

For different corrosion protection requirements, RoofLoc® SCRAIL® is made from stainless steel (A2) and from standard steel with BECK FasCoat® coating. Different colors are also available upon request.

Construction Law Amendment

Since July 2017, the general construction technique permit replaces the construction technique permit (abZ) for types. It is issued by the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt). This new type of permit regulates the planning, dimensions and design of construction types.
